A group of second grade students at Los Primeros Structured School in Camarillo, California, decided to help children in the hospital smile by sending them a greeting card. This project, known as ‘To Kids, From Kids’, is sanctioned by the Pleasant Valley School District in Camarillo, California, and UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital, in Los Angeles, California. When purchasing this card, please send it directly to UCLA at the following address: Hilary Gan, MA, CCLS II, Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA, Chase Child Life Program, 757 Westwood Blvd. Rm. 5236, Los Angeles, Ca. 90095. Each card will have: “Just thinking of you” on the inside flap. Mrs. Gan offered the following suggestion for your addition to the card: ”Drawn just for you by a second grade student at Los Primeros Structured School in Camarillo, California”. No references to cancer, religion, or your names please. If you are not a student and wish to send a card, a statement such as: “I’m writing to send you a smile,” would be well received. Part of the proceeds from this card will be donated to the UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital. Thank you for helping a child smile.
