In 1995 Mary Ogle, a traditionally trained oil painter and printmaker, lost the sight in her right eye. The loss of depth perception and ability to see fine detail affected her work greatly. About a year before she became partially sighted, however, she began experimenting with a new medium - the computer.
Over the next several years, with much trial and error, she painstakingly retrained herself to paint in the digital medium. Her traditional training gave her the solid foundation and structure to created balanced and harmonious compositions - while still allowing her artistic vision to burst through in color, shape and line.

I grew up in a very small town in central Minnesota, surrounded by many lakes and various forms of nature at its finest. It wasn't until I ventured across the pond and lived in England and Ireland for a while that I got really interested in photography. Once I got back I bought my first non-point-and-shoot camera and took hundreds of pictures daily. My love has steadily increased since then and I found that photography is the creative outlet that I had been searching for.
The type of photography that I do has evolved over time and I've done just about everything. My passions are nature, wildlife, and concert photography. I've also been doing fashion photography (BeeTour.net) since September 2006 and am really loving how creative that allows me to be.
