The Edo Period of art in Japan was crowned by the lovely nature scenes painted by artist Hokusai. His "Amida Waterfall" is the inspiration for this beautiful Chinese New Year card for the Year of the Dog. The stylized river and its blue waterfall is the backdrop for a collie dog standing on a rocky ledge. The blues, teals, and golden beige tones of this Chinese New Year card give it a rich depth.
