I think it is a nice gesture to send a card in the mail letting someone know you've been thinking of them. I try to design my cards to be keepsakes so they can be framed or kept in a special box to look through occasionally. I like working with traditional art mediums and am part of the effort and enthusiasm to bring back the special way of keeping in touch with each other that is so meaningful with handwritten cards delivered by the neighborhood postal worker. I live in northern Nevada and many of my cards are inspired by desert scenes I see while exploring. I enjoy trying to capture the interesting colors and textures of the landscape.
