PERFECT PEARS – Growing up, I had the blessing of having my grandparents living on the same property. My grandmother was a gifted gardener, and as many traditional families, ours too gathered around the supper table on Sunday afternoons. Fried chicken was the usual fare, and all enjoyed her country cooking talents. We also had an abundance of fruit trees, and I learned early to appreciate fresh fruit, such as pears. My grandmother’s garden picnic table inspired this painting, where a bowl of fresh pickings were always found. Enjoy, Kat
