I have owned German Shepherds for years, still do as have many of my friends. When they pass away it is comforting to receive a sympathy card, as you would if it had been a person. Having sent and received such cards I have found the cards in local shops are rather impersonal (if you can find one at all) A friends dog recently passed and I scrabbled to find a suitable card. I always keep a supply of " people cards " for unexpected occasions and as many of my friends dogs are elderly, without being morbid, I decided why don`t I do the same for dogs.
