About Me:  I live in a hundred year old farmhouse near Morrison, Tennessee. Living three miles from a crossroads that is six miles from a town of 600 people in Middle Tennessee helps me maintain a unique rural perspective. An Atlanta, Georgia native, I was a professional in the printing and advertising industries for more than 20 years. My art is influenced by lessons of design learned there and by a love of the work of French Impressionist, modern abstract painters and photojournalists. Beginning with original photographs I use my computer as a darkroom. I try to find a fresh view of common objects and scenes. In addition to numerous regional and national awards I was featured in Photography Forum Best of Photography Annual in 2004 and 2005 . I studied painting at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, Georgia. I lived northern Japan for two years where I first began serious work in photography. I have traveled across the US taking photographs in more than half the states. I am continuing to explore the back roads of America in my classic VW van.
