Describes themself as: I have three beautiful children and a wonderful wife. Life is good. I served in the US Navy (DAV, VFW member), volunteer fire department for over a decade, owned several businesses from handicap transportation, a rescue squad company, an elder care facility, and my favorite, a design business. I love poetry and have written over five hundred poems. Through many trials and tribulations I have been there, but most of all, I have been there for others. I am originally from Germany. My father and other members of my family are all artists and their work has been much celebrated throughout Europe. So it has been natural for me to follow this tradition and also become an artist. I spent many years under my father's tutelage learning how to master the composition and style of the Dutch and French masters. I also earned a degree from the Saarbruecken Art academy in Germany. After moving to the United States I added graphic design and illustration to my fine art career. The greeting card business is a great way for me to improve on my illustration skills. I like that I can work with such a variety of themes and ideas, and I hope that my work will be enjoyable for my visitors.

It is challenging sometimes to photograph animals since they never hold still and listen when i tell them to say cheese! My love of color developed growing up surrounded by the vivid hues of the Caribbean. Blue skies, turquoise waves, tropical flowers were my backdrop as I attempted to capture it all on paper. However, life took me down a different path. After raising a family and working as an accountant, I once again picked up the brush and was quickly smitten. My obsession with flowers began with my first rose. I am fascinated with the way that light and shadow play across the petals.
