In my heart I am a young woman still exploring the options of my life. In reality I am a grandmother looking at my young grandchildren wondering what their lives will be. One thing that I hope for is to leave them a legacy. The legacy of a love to be creative. My oldest granddaughter seems to be on her way as you will see in the artwork featured here. About 5 years ago, at the age of 6, she was in a horrible car accident and suffered severe brain injury. Not only has she retaught herself to write with her left hand instead of her right hand, she is also painting and drawing left handed. All proceeds from this shop will go to her continued education and artistic endeavors.

When I was a young child, my father gave me a Brownie box camera and this began a life-long hobby of photography. My father was very talented and helped me with my first pictures – mostly of my dog, Blonko, whom I adored!
As a young adult, I became fascinated with the intricacies of black and white photography and found myself spending hours either tramping through the woods taking pictures or in my darkroom learning how to develop them. I was fortunate to find a mentor and he helped me increase my skill in the technical side of photography.
Mostly working in black and white, I was fortunate to win the NH photography prize for “On Your Own Time,” a corporate state competition where businesses from all over the State of NH submitted artwork from its employees.
Over the years, my work schedule prevented me from being more than an occasional photographer, mostly shooting weekends or when I had time to get away. However, I continued to grow and learn. Finally, in 2007, I left the world of film and joined the “digital era.” Over the last couple of years, I participated in several photography workshops and journeys, continually developing my skills.
I started creating note cards from my photographs. My business,Sonia’s View, started simply because several friends loved the cards and wanted to buy them from me. With true entrepreneurial spirit, I was happy to accommodate their requests and Sonia’s View was born. We now offer over 600 different cards and the collection continues to grow almost daily.
