Inside Text: Christmas Balls 1 cup butter, softened 3/4 cup powdered sugar 2 cups flour 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 cup pecans, chopped red and green sprinkles Cream butter adding sugar and vanilla. Then add flour and mix well. Add pecans. Refrigerate for an hour until firm. Roll into small balls. Bake in a 350F degree oven for 20 to 30 minutes until light brown. Remove from oven and roll in sprinkles while still hot. [adult supervision for younger children]

Inside Text: Basic Apple Pie Recipe 2 cups flour, 1 cup packed brown sugar, 3/4 cup butter/margarine, melted, 1/2 cup quick-cooking oats FILLING 2/3 cup sugar, 3 tbsp. cornstarch, 1 1/4 cups water, 3 cups diced peeled tart apples, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Combine the first four ingredients; set aside 1 cup for topping. Press remaining crumb mixture into an ungreased 9" pie plate; set aside. For filling, combine sugar, cornstarch, and water in a saucepan until smooth; bring to a boil. Cook and stir for minute or until thickened. Remove from the heat; stir in apples and vanilla. Pour into crust; top with reserved crumb mixture. Bake at 350°F for 40-45 min, serve with some fresh whipped cream.
