Flower facts: The petals of a sunflower are actually each single-petalled flowers; a sunflower is actually a cluster of hundreds of flowers. A 32,000-year-old extinct Arctic flower was resurrected using seeds found by an Ice Age squirrel. Hydrangea’s flower color can be determined by the relative acidity of the soil; the acidic soil will produce a blue flower and alkaline soil will produce a pink flower.
