Thank you for inviting us to baby's Red Egg and Ginger party. A Red Egg & Ginger Party is a traditional Chinese celebration to introduce a 1 month old baby to family and friends. Infant mortality rates were high in ancient times, and the celebration of a new arrival was held only after a month had passed when baby was deemed to be healthy and safe. The color red denotes luck, and the heat of the ginger is to help the new mom bring her body back into balance after the birth. This design shows a plate of pickled ginger and two red dyed boiled eggs against a white scalloped diamond frame. The images are placed on a patterned blue frame with cut outs at the corners. Teddy sits at the base of the frame. This design is customizable for baby's name.
