A Happy Birthday card addressed to a wonderful nephew. Two athletic adorable raccoons are playing tennis with red, black and white tennis rackets, Sugar Bear is serving the tennis ball to Bullwinkle. The background is a pretty green accentuated with a black and white net with white text decorated with a colorful tennis banner. Sure to delight any tennis lover! Some elements by La Galerie de Jackie. Tennis is believed to have originated in the monastic cloisters in northern France in the 12th century. Interestingly, the ball was then struck with the palm of the hand. At that time it was named “jeu de paume” (game of the palm). Rackets came into use during the 16th century.
