Go Change It

Customize: Inside text only
Inside Text: GO CHANGE IT If we go and ask God to try and explain, the reason for suffering, heartache, and pain; His answer won't be an answer at all, but a challenge, a purpose, a duty, a call. When evil descends with intent to devour, God says, "Go change it", that we have the power. He set the example, He showed us the way. He gave us authority through words that we say. Our courage grows stronger from trials we face. Our spirit is strengthened by running the race. So, rather than give us the things we desire, He gives us the tools that we will require. Faith can transform those questioning, "Why?" into spiritual warriors, who are willing to try. Into armored believers unwilling to hear, the voices of demons delivering fear. We can bask in our troubles, bathe in our woes, or praise God for challenges, struggles, and blows. We can whine and complain of how life is unfair, or go change the world with the words we declare.

The Liar's Bench

Customize: Inside text only
Inside Text: THE LIAR'S BENCH My old hometown has a restaurant where, the older men gather with stories to share. Many are fabled and some "almost" true. At times I've been known to stretch one or two. Some craft their words like a lawyer on trial. But the best are delivered in "good-ole-boy" style. Some doosies, whoppers, and outlandish claims. Trick is go just so far some doubt remains. How big was that fish? How tough was that shot? How fast were you going last ticket you got? How hard did you have it? How bad could it be? There's always one better, just wait and you'll see. With memories embellished, a sight to behold. Legends are born from stories they've told. They'll say what they think if you give one a try. There's plenty of coffee. It helps if you buy. I've saved up a few that I can't wait to tell, from that old corner booth I remember so well. So, if you're ever in town, come by and we'll stop by the "Liar's Bench" over at Joe's Coffee Shop.

On a Big Billboard Sign

Customize: Inside text only
Inside Text: ON A BIG BILLBOARD SIGN I was driving home late on the highway one night, My thoughts turned to how to make everything right. I was so overwhelmed and struggling to find, a way out of being so completely behind. The daily routine had taken its toll. my schedule had somehow taken over control. I'd lost all my passion, my hope, and my drive. The dreams I once had were just barely alive. Asking for help was never my way, but with little choice left, I decided to pray. Then an answer appeared, it was surely divine. God wrote it down on a big billboard sign. It wasn't some brilliant marketing campaign. It wasn't some catchy poetic refrain. Just two simple words and the message was sent. "I'm Available" it read, I knew what it meant.

The Scar

Customize: Inside text only
Inside Text: THE SCAR The scar that goes with you wherever you go. The mark of a struggle most people don't know. A badge you must wear and carry around from battles you've fought on spiritual ground. Its presence reminds you of a much harder day. You'll make it, no matter what stands in your way. You are a survivor! You've done it before! Satan carries no power over you any more. He's taken his shots, you're still standing strong. You laughed in his face and yelled, "Move along!" The wound is now healed, a scar in its place. Strength you can draw for challenges you face. As it quietly fades a little more every day. You wish it were gone, yet hope it will stay. The symbol of a journey not chosen to take, a reminder God's love will never forsake.
