Folded 5" x 7" greeting card

This humorous birthday card features a minimalist cream textured background with bold black typewriter-style typography reading “Trying Very Hard To Look Functional.” Beneath the message stands a calm watercolor duck illustrated in soft cream, beige and warm golden tones. Inspired by the familiar feeling of appearing composed while secretly struggling to keep everything together, the design uses a simple visual metaphor paired with dry, relatable humor. The neutral colour palette, vintage-inspired styling and clean composition create a contemporary birthday card that will resonate with busy professionals, tired parents, overworked friends and anyone who has mastered the art of looking more organised than they actually feel. A perfect choice for lovers of understated humor and modern minimalist design.
