Artist Notes:
A newly hatched little Welsh dragon, with three eggs in the background and a pile of gold for a nest, makes a fabulous St. David's day card and great for the young at heart. Original artwork by Steve Ebdon, icklepeeps. Welsh traditions: The leek is the national vegetable of Wales, we consume vast quantities of it, on St. David's Day, all boys wear a leek to school and girls wear the Daffodil, the Daffodil is the Welsh flower of Wales, we dress up in our Welsh costumes, and wear them, girls on the shawl, boys on the lapel (yes it's not easy pinning one on), the boys tend to have very bad looking leeks as they munch on them and the green leaves look shocking :D, Cawl is our national dish and all schools serve it on St. David's day, you can get it all winter as well including street vendors. So baby's poor things get liquidized leeks and mashed up Cawl :) hence the fun verse.
