They are set against a wave, which symbolizes the Biblical event, the splitting of the Red Sea. far behind, the Egyptian pharoah chases them. The design uses elements of ancient Egyptian art, like bands called registers, Egyptian border patterns, and colors often found in ancient Egyptian art.
