The cat sidhe vists on Samhain eve, All Souls Night, when the veil between the worlds is thin and the souls of the ancestors and fairy folk roam the roads and fields. On the hill with the standing stones, a bonfire is lit.The turnip lantern guides the friendly spirits home and frightens the harmful ones away. The cat sidhe is among the fairy folk (sidhe or Si, pronounced "shee" as in banshee) who may visit on this night. This is my original artwork done in colored pencil.
