The picture illustrates the Christmas Carol ‘The Holly and the Ivy’. The sun is rising behind a deer running. The Merry Organ and the Singing Choir are indicated by the Chapel. All is wreathed in the eponymous Christmas greenery and produced in the effect of a stained glass window. Inside is the first verse of the Christmas Carol and a Christmas Grreeting. This card is based on an original watercolour painting by Christine Burn.
