An underground comic promotional material featuring Doctor Platypus the World's Saddest Superhero with elements that are popular among bohemians in the 90's. A rare medical take on DP, he is depicted wearing a white lab coat in a bit of a 1930's surrealist collage art style. He stands in full view, not wearing pants in a cartoony move. The colors of greenish blue and eggy gold are reminiscent of underground animation, European comic books, and other works that the punk and rockabilly scene enjoy. A red star graces his shoulder. He wears a 60's style caped hero getup. His eyes look longing at the audience, begging them to take him home. The creation is digital but cleverly designed to look like a lithograph. Comic illustrations and story books such as those created by outsider artists helped to inspire this piece.
