About Me:  Hello everyone, My name is Alison and I am a self-taught artist. I've loved drawing since I was a young girl - watercolor painting was taken up after a long break. I like to paint wildlife subjects that look interesting and challenging. I am drawn to butterfly wings with all their beautiful iridescent facets, membranous dragonfly wings, satin-like scales of reptiles. I love the plumage and colors of birds and the curious expressions in their eyes. I enjoy painting furry wild mammals such as squirrels and rabbits. Painting botanical themes are challenging and rewarding - wild flowers are so beautiful. I paint with my feelings and having never been to art school so I don't know what rules I may be breaking!
