I create images that stimulate the senses, encourage creative thinking, and inspire the imagination. I express freedom best through structured spontaneity. The more secure I am in format and technique, the freer I am to express myself. Like an accomplished jazz musician, the more habituated I am with the basic melody and timing of a song, the more free I am to play with the interpretation. It’s important to stay grounded in the melody or the interpretation has no context and is just noise.
