About Me: The beauty of the west has me traveling all over the area to paint. From the coast of California to the red rocks of Sedona, I love the immediacy of painting outdoors. When inspiration takes over, the painting reveals itself on the canvas, as if it were there all along. It is a wonderful and exciting experience. Capturing the atmosphere with a study is only the first step to completing a larger work. In the studio, I use the study to relive the experience, translating that excitement onto the canvas.

My Interests: I enjoy sharing my love of art with students and teach both online classes and a local class at varied locations Teaching is very rewarding and I learn as much as the students. I belong to both local and national art clubs where I have the opportunity to develop my community of artist friends. The art community is filled with generous, interesting people who enrich my life, I also provide judging services for art competitions. This is a very interesting and gratifying job which provides access to see many talented artists.
