» Getting ready for the holidays no matter what your situation is in today's economy, keep in mind what is important about the holidays and how much we have to be grateful for. Where possible, bring a little holiday and family feeling to those who are less fortunate. It will make you feel GREAT.

» Happy 2010! This year started off with a big challenge and devastation to the people of Haiti. My thoughts and prayers are with you and my local church has organized a relief fund that I will be taking a check to. They are sending our Father Yves who is from Haiti to bring OTC medical supplies to the people in Haiti. Won't you find someone local in your hometown and make a difference too! » To all of us out of work let me suggest this time to re-evaluate what is going on in our lives. Use it to explore what is really important. There is a great commercial out that refers to this concept where the expensive car is not important, what is important is that it works. Eating meatloaf and playing Jenga with family can be just as rewarding and way more beneficial than the $200 steak dinner. It is also a good time to learn to say "no". No to your kids who MUST HAVE designer bags. No to the $30 lipstick that does work just as well, no better, than the $6 lipstick at Wal-Mart. Say YES to yourself, your family, your GOD.
