This design shows the city of Jerusalem arranged in a mandala. In the center, it shows wedding rings under a huppah. At a Jewish wedding, a glass is broken under the huppah, the wedding canopy, to recall the destruction of the Jerusalem Temple. Here, the historic Temple built by Solomon surrounds the huppah, along with his palace. Lilies of the valley and music notes decorate the area around them, a reference to the Biblical quote that the sounds of a wedding, like music and the voice of the wedding party, will be heard again the city. A brick wall built in Biblical times encircles the area. The next layer includes ancient homes in Jerusalem and trees. The outer layer shows modern Jerusalem, including a bridge, famous sites, and contemporary buildings. Its walls, gates, and hills are also shown. The mandala is framed by a traditional Jerusalem arched window, with a row of tulips at the bottom.
