Hari Raya Aidilfitri is the festival of the breaking of the Fast, and this religious holiday marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of dawn-to-sunset fasting. Selamat Hari Raya conveys the meaning of 'happy celebration day'. Families and friends visit each other to feast on traditional delicacies, like the ketupat and satay featured in this design. A favourite Malaysian delicacy, the ketupat is rice packed and cooked inside woven palm leaf pouches. Satay is marinated pieces of meat, skewered and cooked over a charcoal fire. The satay and ketupat is dipped in a delicious, spicy peanut sauce. The inside of the card has been left blank for you to pen your own greeting.
