About Me: I am a professional British fine art painter, illustrator and cartoonist.
I live and work in the picturesque Llanon region, near Aberystwyth, in mid West Wales where I am inspired by much of the varying beauty of the Welsh countryside and its coastline.
I paint as I wish to share what I see, with others.
My Painting Approach
I prefer to paint/illustrate scenes depicting escapism and freedom but with a sense of contemporary responsibility.
The common denominator among all of my pictures is the vivid sense of colour used to enhance a scene. I strive to achieve the right balance of colour to make the picture come alive so that you, the viewer, will feel part of it.
I use a variety of wet and dry media; my choice often reflects my mood and the depth of colour I wish to achieve.
Painting in different disciplines allows me to transpose my skills and techniques across my preferred range of media.
These include working in acrylic, oil, pastel, pen and ink, pencil and crayon.
Successes
Some of my original paintings, illustrations and cartoons hang in private collections within the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Russia, Australia and the USA.
My work has been shown on regional UK Television.
Other Representations
I am represented with many web sites displaying my original paintings, illustrations and cartoons.
A London Art Dealer promotes my work too.

My Interests: All my interests seem to support my art.
I walk my dog everyday off the beaten track and sometimes I will stop to sketch or photograph something of interest.
I enjoy visiting the many medieval castles in Wales and occasionally, I will go flying with a friend.
» Please note that all my card images are created from my fine art paintings that I originated from scratch. I do not use clip art nor anyone's images. In most cases, my greeting cards are a faithful miniaturized reproduction of the original full size painting.
