Hi Elizabeth,

Are you referring to the logo on the back of your cards or your store banner?  Both are lovely  Smiley

I'm going to give you a link to this which I posted a few weeks ago on my Fan Page about creating business logos...just in case it offers helpful input.

Personally, though your logo is lovely, when printed in grayscale I believe your business name will be washed out. Hope this is helpful.

Though the colors are lovely - the logo is very hard to read. As a logo designer I know that simple type is easier to read. There is not enough contrast between the thin curving type and the detailed background. And, the side message is hard to see and read ...

Maybe lose the texture in the background, lighten it up and strengthen the logo type - or go for a new design, simpler and more readable. Keep your goal in mind - you are a designer - you need strong design to carry that message. Most of all, you want anyone who sees your card to GET IT! on first glance

I was going to  say almost the same thing because I love the colors, but at first glance, it seemed really busy to me and the name is hard to read.  Tobi put into words what I was thinking.  LOL  The thin lines of the script are elegant, but against the busy background, don't stand out.  Also when you do the logo on the back of the cards - as small as it is, you need something really simple and easy to read there.

Thanks for your quick and honest responses. I've been looking at it on a 21" screen.....so you're right when it looks smaller. I'll keep playing with it.
thanks again...

Oh, you have two threads.  Roll Eyes The bright colors on the banner can be easily muted by running a white brush over it at 20% opacity.  If you are planning to use this design for your business cards, you can put a flower on one side and the writing on the other.
