Please clarify with examples what is allowed....
Mar 7th, 2011, 6:39pm

Please clarify with examples what is allowed....when doing party invitations, whether for birthday, bridal shower, baby shower, anniversary party.... any invitation that needs customization from the buyer whether in writing or through the text tool we have here.

do we put  name, place , time and a line beside it for the buyer to write information in?
i know i have had rejections for putting  things that way and yet others have had them
approved.

i am completely confused on what is allowed and have refrained from making
invitations to parties unless i leave them blank.

Denise, I have struggled with this and there is quite a bit of information in a thread where I posted the same question a few months ago.  I tried to find the thread but no luck.  Should have marked it.

Anyway, Mindy advised to make inside of invitations so buyer can purchase directly and hand write the information in after buying the card, if they wish.  Apparently, some cards have been returned by the customer that are not set up that way.

I am still in the process of changing all my invitations to that format.  I am using a line on most of mine and double spacing because that is what Mindy recommended.

Hope that helps.
Kati

Denise,

You've been given some good advice. We will not approve cards that have instructional text, such as (name) or placeholder text. We advise artists to leave it blank or add an underscore. Examples:

Date:

Time:

Place:

OR

Date: ___________________________

Time: ___________________________

Place: ___________________________

I don't know where I saw it (excuse me, my computer crashed and lost all data), but the example I saw had a line for who to RSVP to, like this:

Date: ___________________________

Time: ___________________________

Place: ___________________________

RSVP: ___________________________

I like to have a greeting at the top, so I've been putting:

Please join our joyous occasion! (or other greeting)

Date: ____________Time: __________

Place: ___________________________

RSVP: ___________________________

I can see it might be handier for the customer and easier for me, if I left the lines off.

Please join our joyous occasion!

Date:                                 Time:

Place:

RSVP:
