As I stated earlier, here at GCU, there is absolutely no benefit to having more than one store. However, at Zazzle, if you have a tremendous amount of variety, it becomes a real hassle to manage only one store with too many themes. I have four stores and with Z's latest changes which are happening this month, it will be even slicker to manage my stores. At Zazzle, however you get Volume Bonuses when you have more stores all tied together and in my case all my stores do very well, so those Volume Bonuses are in the hundreds of dollars...which is on top of what my sales income payout is.

So...to just be clear, some places it PAYS to have more than one store, here at GCU it does not.

Yes, I agree with Doreen that their is no real bonus to having two stores here, unless you want to hide something and maintain an alias.
I thought about it initially to try and organize my various cards, but then understand you can only have two stores anyway and GCU does the organizing anyway with the categories. Most searches which you will see as clicks, come from people that are searching for a particular card and that card from your store came up in the search. It really doesn't matter then except for your own edification and ease of working, what manner you sort your cards in. Occasionally you will have someone search your store personally, but even then, your categories that you have cards in is easily accessed in the sidebar.
I still like to pull my cards forward that relate to the next upcoming holidays on the assumption that someone may click on a card then my store to see what other cards I have in that genre, but don't think that happens too often.
Also having two stores requires two separate email addresses and you will be paid separately from each store, so if you don't reach the $25 in one or both, you won't get a check come payday! cry

I didn't know about Zazzles bonuses. Thanks Doreen, I'll have to check that out and see if it's worth the trouble. As it is, it's already hard enough to juggle the different online venues I have now! I'm a firm believer in the KISS formula - keeping it simple stupid! Huh

Don't bother checking out any of the Volume Bonus stuff at Zazzle right now Randall. They have put a freeze on combining stores (mine have been combined for nearly 2-years) while they make a major change which will allow us to log in as one user and work on all our stores without having to log in and out of specific stores. This change will take effect within the month and you'll have 30-days at that point to combine your stores. Pay close attention to Zazzle the next 30 days or so, major changes (all for the good).

I feel for ya Randall, The thought of juggling shops sounds hard on wrists. Wink

Marilee mentioned changes happening at Zazzle. One of those changes is the accounts will all be on one page. So, shopkeeper areas will be consolidated.
