Welcome to GCU. You will find everyone here very helpful.

Yes there does seem to be a longer wait than usual, it used to be about a week that we had to wait. However, I've ceased to worry about it and just get on with adding new designs, they get to my card shop eventually and I know that someone has taken the trouble to find any errors I may have made. I've been here around 12 months and I'm afraid I still make mistakes and I'm very grateful when they are picked up.
I enjoyed looking at your first card and look forward to seeing more surreal landscapes.

Welcome Syd,
Yes, this time of year is the slowest approval of the year. Everyone is designing and submitting for the upcoming holidays. Last year was my first year and I, too found it very frustrating as I was trying to fill up my store. I've learned that you have to just keep on designing and submitting and eventually everything gets to your storefront.

Hi Syd,

I'm a newbie at GCU as well, I too had the same concerns when it was taking about two weeks to approve my cards. I think it is the excitement of getting started.

Now I just design and upload, I think the last lot of cards I uploaded took a week and a bit. Hang in there and your artwork will be approved before you know it.

By the way, great first card. Wink

Hi Syd and welcome. First let me agree with everyone else...great first card, looking forward to seeing more. I've been here less than a year, but I've seen the review time increase from about 4 or 5 days to where it is now at a week or sometimes two. I think everyone agrees it would be nice if it didn't take so long, but I have to say, it's worth the wait. Just keep creating and putting cards up every day (or however often your schedule permits), eventually they'll start getting approved and the cycle won't be so frustrating.

Welcome Syd!

I love your first card and just had a fantastic voyage through Other 3D Lands...your work is just wonderful and I really love it. What a talented artist you are! I can't wait to see more of your cards.

With that said, yes the wait for approval can be rough especially this time of year, but just sit back and keep uploading cards and before you know it you'll be having cards approvals in your mailbox everyday...completely forgetting how long it took to get them reviewed.

I can see your work on book covers, have you ever designed any?

Wow i just saw your card Syd - I love it, it's fantastic. If you don't mind saying, what program did you use to create it???

I am brand new to GCU as well and was wondering the same thing about the approval time. My first card was approved very quickly however I noticed the colours looked strange (they were still in cymk instead of rgb) so I took it down and resubmitted it along with some new designs however am still waiting for approval.

I read everyone else's replies to your post and that has cleared it all up for me (thanks). I though perhaps there was something wrong with my designs however it makes sense that this time of year everyone will be busy uploading new cards so it may take a little longer for the guys at GCU to get through them Shocked

)

Anyway I really just wanted to say how much I love your card Shocked
