Patience of a saint but need explanation
Jan 14th, 2010, 11:04am

I have the patience of a saint but I'm wondering how your approval process works?  Just to give you an idea of my patience....I still have dial-up and it takes me approx. 20 minutes to upload one card.  We don't have high speed available where I live and unfortunately I can't afford high speed satellite internet at this time.  At any rate, when I go into the new cards added today I see ID numbers in the 550000 range and yet I have had no disposition on one of my cards with an ID #548817....just wondering why?  Is it because I only upload one image at a time?  I'm afraid that if I tried to upload five at a time my computer would crash and burn..lol  I realize that some cards are fast tracked but.....

Just curious and patiently awaiting a reply.

Kathleen:  It does take a while to get cards approved and since we are coming up on Valentine's Day, I'm sure the reviewers are overloaded at the moment.  Always submit your cards waaaaaay ahead of any holiday so they are ready to buy in time for that important date.  I would even suggest 2 months or more in advance just to make sure.  Sorry, but they will get them back to a soon as they can.  Smiley

Good advice from Neva on all fronts and thank you for your patience!

The fact that you are uploading one card at a time does not have any impact on review time.

Hiho

{{{{CARD REVIEW EXPECTATIONS:
In general, please expect cards to be reviewed within 1 to 4 days.  Although many cards are approved within 24 hours, with 400 - 800 new cards submitted each day, 24 hours is not always possible and is not a reasonable expectation. }}}}}

While I understand about the valentine's etc it's not really my issue, we are told cards are reviewed in order of number etc and who is picking what up....... the last card on the new list on the last page reads... 548642 and the newest which is 551274, that's a gap of 2632 cards, now I have cards that are Product Id: 547799 and created on 6th (some 7, 8, 9, 10th so on) January and placed up for review on the 6th of Jan, it's now the 14th, so can we have a new "how long it takes" to review because it's far exceding 4 days it's now running over 7 sometimes more, so can that bit be rectified please so we are clear on days and week+.. is it now better to place up huge multiples? Istoped doing it so the review times would come down, but it's not worked out.

And we can't always say busy time holidays because there is always a holiday and a busy time, so we need clarification on how long to wait, I am patient but patience wears thin when you see new cards on the front and your's will not ever make that list because a week as passed and 3475 before the front new cards and 843 behind the last card.

This is not an issue regarding valentine's or even chinese new year, this is just getting slower and slower, since way before Christmas.

Moonie

Tracking product numbers can be misleading as there are many Private cards that skip review and FastTracked cards that get expedited review.

In any case, card review time does continue to be an issue and we apologize.  In general what we want to reinforce is that when cards are created several months in advance of the holiday then review time should not be an issue.  It shouldn't matter if an Easter card submitted in January gets approved in 1 days or 10 days.

Overall our goal is to get them reviewed within 4 days.  If there are issues with your card this of course may take longer (incorrect categories, needs new category, misleading keywords, typos, etc.).

Moonie, it appears that your cards submitted prior to the 12th have been approved.
