I'm experiencing the same... I get inspired, make the card, find I'm on a roll, make a couple more cards.. 'Return home from work every day only to find I'm still "pending" on the first design that got me rolling... It's about 5 degrees out and the fact that I'm on any kind of a roll is amazing..  you guys must be swamped if "trickle" is describing the approval stats!  Stay warm out there everyone! "Bitter Cold" and "Trickle" too shall pass, right?

Have a Great 2010!

Sincerely,
Susan

To avoid the rush as well as allow search engines to index your cards, designs should be uploaded at least 3-4 months in advance of the holiday. I know it's hard to think about Valentine's Day designs in October/November, but experience has shown that cards need that extra time.

Nothing specific re: the slow down other than start of the year rush - have you all resolved to create more cards this year?!

As Corrie posts, starting early is your best strategy - several months early.  We are thick into Valentine's and Chinese New Years sales and have been for a few weeks.

You design talents should now be focused on Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day.  With the latter two of these holidays in need of Photo Cards.

I have also waited 7 days for 4 cards to get reviewed.  These are meant as Valentine cards - I have no problem with the issue that I am late for this year and they may not be available in time except for the issues others have already noted.  My cards are variations of the same design and all were returned for edits.  So after the long wait I am now waiting again, but the main issue for me this time is the continuing frustration of trying to guess what will appease the reviewers regarding categories.

The front design of my cards has the words "I Love You".  Inside 2 of them the verse included "will you be my valentine".  Those 2 cards were returned unapproved with the request that I take them out of the Valentine>I Love You category and put them into the Valentine>Be My Valentine category instead (the reviewer rather snippily writing "because it clearly says that inside").  OK.  It also clearly says "I Love You" on the front.  So, does the inside verse trump the outside words when it comes to categorization??

I have to ask because a third card with the same design and different inside text was returned requiring me to take it out of the Valentine>Animal category (it has a dog) and put it into the Valentine>I Love You category.  I feel like I just can't win!  The reviews are so slow already that this - what seems to me to be nit-picky - recategorization is getting to be too much for me.  I know GCU wants it to be very specific.  I AM trying to do it correctly and not complain and do my best to understand the process as GCU wants it, but give me a break -- or better guidelines at least  Sad.

Frustrated almost to not wanting to play anymore,
Amy
