The new promotional pricing & artists' fees calculations is now live and effective!

Specifically...

GCU will continue to absorb all the expenses associated with marketing and promotional efforts for:
   - Free shipping offers
   - Free card offers
   - Card Seller Widget Fees

As for other promotions (% discount off or specific discounted price per card) instead of paying artists the lower commission rate on the discounted card price, we will now calculate commissions using the higher commission rate on the discounted card price.

See examples at the top of this tread in the original posting.

We do not currently have any price discounting promotions in circulation. This means you will not see any card pricing discounts on sales yet. We will post here when we promote the first one as a heads up.

In your sales notification emails you will now notice a "Discounts Applied" footnote detailing any redeemed promotions. Also new to the sales notification email yet unrelated, is new onsite source of sale information like:

The source of this order was a customer browsing the category: Holidays » Mother's Day
The source of this order was a customer browsing: Mindy's Miles of Smiles Greeting Card Store
The source of this order was an onsite search for: 'easter'

And the new sales-tracking info will be interesting! Cool!

Any news on the LARGER image views going online (such as up to Zazzle's 850px600p)? I get complaints all the time of sales not being placed since shoppers can't see the image or the inner verse clearly enough on many cards. It's a bigger problem than you might realize!

Re: larger images your ears must have been burning. The team is working on this right now along with the new watermark and "image by" credits removal. Although not as large as your original suggestion both the Large View and View Details page images will be larger.

We are working on some minor site changes to facilitate shopper checkout. You may see some of these over the next couple of weeks. The "In Cart" change is not complete yet.
