Rearranging cards in shop
Apr 20th, 2008, 1:24pm

Hi - I hope I'm in the right place for this.

I've been here for a few months now but not done very well so I'm trying to sort my shop out a bit better now I know more than I did.

Anyway - a simple question just now - I keep rearranging the cards and I keep 'Saving' and they don't rearrange.  What am I doing wrong??

Thanks in advance for any info.

Susan

Hmmm, if you are saving, then your arrangement should be saved!  Anyway you could try a refresh at the top of the page, I suppose.

Just a tip, you can click on your card to be moved keep the click on the card and hit home or end, depending upon which direction you want to go in and it will take your card all the way to the top or bottom.  Home is top, End is bottom.  Also page up and page down helps speed things up.

All I can say is whenever you move something hit save and if it has saved it should say saved at the top in green, to let you know it has been saved.  I hope this helps, unless there is a glitch somewhere going on.  Seems like you are following the steps, good luck!

Smiley Cheesy Wow, Susan... I LOVE your work... especially, but not only, Starry, Starry Night and mist before the sun.  You have a wonderful way with your art art.  One thing I did notice, tho, while looking at your cards, were the keywords.  Nowhere in the keyword or card title of mist before the sun was the word encourage or encouragement.  And it is most definitely an encouragement card.  And on Starry, starry night... there was no mention of I miss you, or miss you.  I think alot of times, shoppers put in words like this instead of going into individual categories.  You have so much good stuff there... make sure it comes up the shopper searches cuz they are going to love it as much as I do.  Everybody... you should check out Susan's stuff... especially if you like border collies.  Have a nice night...

Thank you so much, Cara, for your trouble - you were right - it must have been a temporary glitch - or maybe I was too impatient - anyway, it's working now - and the tips you gave about End and Home etc - brilliant!

Thank you, Gina!  That is so encouraging.

I do appreciate all suggestions as I still have a great deal to learn about all this.  I had no idea (and I have read a lot about tags etc) about putting words for the category of card it was into the keywords bit - or the title - I shall start sorting this out forthwith!  I seriously want it all to work.

Thanks very much.

Actually, I've had another look and it says not to use the category of card...  Or am I getting confused about what constitutes 'category'?

Thanks for your help.

But I've now put on a new card and put the category in the keywords AND in the title so shall expect a lorry load of orders this evening, then!

Heh.
