Since everyone has been so helpful to me in the past few days while I get settled in I thought I would share this.
 
I am sure some of you know what Squidoo is (I did not until recently) and how it could help to lead people here to GCU and your store fronts. This could benefit us all by increasing traffic and getting the word out.
 
On Squidoo you write whatever you are passionate about, doesn't matter what it is as long as you love it. These are called lenses. You could add links (to your store or others if you want just make sure you use your email link to get the extra 50 cents since a widget from GCU is not available) CafePress shops use this a lot.  
 
Sqidoo ranks high in search engines and it is FREE advertising! I am starting to see traffic come in from there on other sites. Not a lot but my lenses need improving. The only catch is that you should (but don't have to) update it to keep it fresh and up there in the ranks. So if you sell cards with your nature photography on them write a lens on tips of how to take good photos then add your links to your store or website and hopefully get some traffic!
 
The best part is you can earn money or have it donated to charity (mine goes to the aspca and the humane society)

I have my cards prominent and some from cafepress that I like of other artists. I wrote a review of my children's illustrations store in another lens as a third party.

there is a section where you can add widgets to your lenses or links ,like cafepress, ebay and such but GCU is not an option. I don't know what the protocol is for teaming up with sqidoo but maybe it would be a good thing to try
 
  I forgot to add. I am writing a lens about paper greeting cards and would like to list some stores. If you list your store here I will try to get it in on the lens. Right now I will take the first 25 people to sign up (maybe more later) The lens is in draft mode but I will let you know when it goes live!

Thanks for the information, Nicole.  Traffic directed to any of our stores usually ends up around for many other GCU cards as well.
