I just found something I didn't like....

So far, I've been really impressed with the way GCU is set up and run...
But I just noticed something you should perhaps reconsider...

On my page I have the 'featured products' at the top of the column... after this discovery it will probably go to the bottom.

I clicked on a key-word "pastels" to see how the 'keyword bubble' worked....
( here's the results.. I'll wait a few days maybe before moving my featured section so you can see... http://www.greetingcarduniverse.com/community/store.asp?keyword=Pastel&store _id=296 )

when I got to the page with the results, I had line art, alterred photo, AND pastels all showing.. I was very confused why... looked at all the keywords to make sure I hadn't accidentally entered in 'pastels' on more than my 'pastel art'.

I finally realized that despite the fact I'd left my front page, the 'featured' section was still front and center, making it look as if it were my search results.... the REAL results were way down on the page.

I then went to someone else's shop with over 2000 designs, and clicked to see other pages of their product.
Again, every page showed the exact same products in the pages prime real estate... and you have to scroll down below the fold to find the real product.

The 'featured' section should really be EITHER Only on the front page (best option, IMHO)
OR
No matter whether the shopkeeper chooses top or bottom of the page in 'layout', should be UNDER the products in a search result, or second and onward page.

Just my 2 cents worth...

You go right to product gallery in my shop.....the whole "above the fold" concept. I want things showing on top of page.

Hi Cheryl, you can move the featured products section so that it shows up on the bottom of every page, that's what I did.

Just go to "Look & Design" and pick "Store layout and Content" and you should be able to drag and drop the featured products section to wherever you like on the page!
