Card arrangements in my gallery
Sep 27th, 2011, 7:42am

Is there a tutorial available on the "Advanced Arrangements" options under managing cards (ie., arranging cards in my gallery)? Frankly I find it confusing. So, need some help. Have not found it in GCU University but could have easily overlooked it. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi,
I can't believe there has been no reply to your post. I am afraid I can't help you with that, but maybe I can get someone to do so.

It is confusing and I would like to know as well.

The answer is Drag and drop with the mouse. Click the save button at the bottom.

Have done the drag and drop of cards on the same page. But, how do you move cards from page to page? That's where it gets confusing for me. Apparently, they can be moved by designating them (one at a time) to be moved to position one. Thus, getting the ones you want to emphasize (for awhile) to the beginning. I suspect there is more to it than that, but not sure what.

Thanks to all those who have responded. Have a great day.

Lloyd - hi there!  I use drag n drop when moving to positions on the same page.  When I want to move a past holiday to the end (I SHOULD have already done that with Christmas ... just came on tonight to do that and came here first), I do it by keyword (Christmas, in this case) and since I can never remember if I'm moving it to position "end" or "last" or whatever (we really DO need a popup for those designations, GCU) then I just choose a number that is on the last page of my manage gallery (for example, if I have 100 cards, I move them to position 100, then I check that last page to be sure all is well).

If I am moving a card from say, page 5, and I want to put it in a certain position on page 2 (yes, I'm particular enough to do that ...) then I start by giving it a general number on page two - I give it 25.  Then I go to page 2 and drag and drop it to the actual spot I want it appear in.

Whew.  Hope this is helpful to you!  It answers what I *think* your question was - let me know if I'm wrong  Wink

Thanks, Peggy. Your advice does work and works well. Don't know why I had not thought of it. Makes perfect sense. Thanks again.
