To Dark

Ok yes it is, but it's meant to be it's supposed to be hard to see or it would not be blue,
and I give up sending emails Product ID: 863741 shall i just get rid because it's a bore?

That thing is darkend on purpose, its silver and bright and each candle is different
colours, I want it to be so far in the background you can hardly see it, it's blended so
you can't lighten it because its been made dark blue the wording is the key not the image,
the image sits in the backround artistically.

Hugs

Hi Moonie, well I too am getting annoyed at the scrutiny of the images, some of mine are deliberately blurred or have pencil/watercolour effects but the reviewer says they won't make good cards. I disagree, I print them myself and sell loads, perhaps I should just do that instead of waste my time offering them to the rest of the world. I also got a message telling me to make sure my Welsh language cards are translated correctly as they can't be proof read, what a cheek! my husband is Welsh and can speak his own language perfectly, my children can speak Welsh, I live in Wales, Welsh is not a foreign language in my house! ... and this is from someone who doesn't even spell English properly! Your cards are gorgeous hun, I think we artists have a right to present our work how we want it, not how someone else thinks it should be, that's what makes us all and our work unique!

Hi Moonie,
Have your emails specific to this card gone unanswered?  Please let me know as the review team has not seen them and I'd like to make sure if we have a deliverability issue that we address it.

RE: your image, returned for edits:
"Nice image, but it is a bit too dark. Please lighten the image some, resubmit, and we will be happy to have another look at it. Thanks"

A suggestion to help this image shine.  Please look for a followup email with clarification of noise in the dark areas of this image as well.

This deisgn has merit with some edits if you're willing to give it another try.  Roll Eyes

Hi Karen,
We love the unique and varied creations of our artist community.  Clearly a key ingredient of GCU's growing success however we have established a line based on what we determine will be marketable in GCU's marketplace.  You'll find the method behind the madness of this new "scrutiny" here:

Re: the message for checking correct translation, this is a generally crafted message for the review team to use, as are most of the messages, to address common topics/issues.  So please don't take it as a personal assualt but a general reminder that we share with all artists that submit cards in languages other than English.

"We have approved this card however please note we are not able to proof read non-English language cards for correctness.  Please make sure you have used the language properly and have translated correctly."

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks Mindy but it's not in the dark so it can't have noise in the dark as it's shot in daylight, anyhooo not worth shouting over etc, I have plenty Cheesy so he can go in the bin, the original is a daytime shot in it's full colour. And it there will be print issues for noise that it should not have as its only got a blue mask over it, the actual image is as is Tongue then it can go.

Ty anywhoo Moonie
