Feedback on Heart to Art Store
Mar 18th, 2011, 7:22am

Greetings all!
Am looking for some feedback on my store from you.
I've spent some time trying out different store layouts and now have some stock in so feel it's time to invite some guests over!
Thank you GCU family, hope you enjoy the visit and Blessings on your day!
Warm wishes,
Sri

P.S.  One of my favorites, so far, is the Holiday Mirror Ball.  If you write back please let us know a favorite card from your store to check out.  By the way how do you show a link to a favorite card in your store?

Hi Sri and welcome to GCU!  You have some awesome looking cards and have a great niche with the astrological/zodiac thing going.  With a store name very similar to yours (mine is Card Art From The Heart,) my only suggestion would be that you might consider a name that more closely describes your niche; it might serve you better in the search engines.
Great start honey.  Best of luck to you!

Thank you Sue for your encouragement and kind words.  I've noticed our similar store names before.

The store name is close to my heart, and yet, I appreciate your suggestion of a name change.
I will give it some serious thought, it makes total sense what you say.

Thank you also to the testimonials so far... Pris of pencilsbypris, Steve, and Betty of kontinentalkitties.

This is such a valuable experience to ask for feedback.  In the meantime of waiting for a reply another card of mine got approved, a Faith card!  Perfect timing! and soon after I got your reply Sue and Betty's wonderful words.

Thank you all for your time and goodwill.
May new card buyers be especially drawn to our cards today!
Blessings always,
Sri

Sri,

Enjoyed your Zodiac cards and the art.  the mirrored ball is really cool too!

If anything, I'd make your header name a little bolder so it stands out from the background.  I also agree with Sue, that if you are going to stick to the Zodiac theme pretty much, a name suited for that would be a big help.  However if you expect a wide variety of cards, the name is perfect.

As for pasting a link

What I do to paste a link to a particular card is go to mange store, then click on the link to your store view in the yellow box.  That takes you to your store view as everyone sees it.  Find the card in the gallery you want to link to and click on it.  The url for that card will be displayed in your browser window.  Just copy that and then paste it to your emails or other web pages and you'll have a link right to that card.   or you can paste it in your artist's profile if that's what you want.

Great job and lovely cards!

Best always, Randy

Hello Sri,

Lovely store and cards!  I am a stickler for color matching and clashing, so I wanted to offer, in case you didn't know, that you can go to Photoshop with your banner and choose the Color Pick tool.  Click on individual colors within your banner and write down the number the color picker gives you.

Then go into the store color setup in GCU and you can enter the color by number...you MUST put a # in front of it (this only applies to GCU) then your purples and blues will accurately match your banner  Wink

Also the easiest way to link to a card is to use the Sell This Card feature and Copy the TOP URL which you can past here.  The bottom URL will not work here since it is HTML coded.

Good luck to you and I like Sue's idea about your store name.  Whatever you choose to do, do it quickly before search engines start to find you.

Hi Sri-

I love the "feeling" of your store - I think you cards evoke serenity and generate positive energy.  Keep up the great work.  I love mirrored ball. I am drawn to "Faith".  Your store is inviting and I liked your bulletin.  I would agree with the other suggestions to have your store name "pop" off the banner so it is more recognizable.  You could outline or shadow the text which might give enough definition. Happy creating ! Lynn

Doreen- Thank you so much for the color trick.  I tried this yesterday and am instantly in love with this feature. I really appreciate your posts, you're a wealth of knowledge. -Lynn

Sri,

I like it!  Compact and to the point!  The colors go well with most of your cards and the design compliments your card designs.  Works really well I think!
