Right Clicking Feature

Was there a change in the way the right clicking now works here. In the Manage Card areas? Huh

I use to be able to R-C and open in a new window. This was a valuable feature enabled to me in saving much time here.

I have been trying the past hour to R-C in my manage card area and no luck with it. I have to L-C and then go through my cards that way. Is it something on my end? I tried it on other web sites and it worked there so is something not enabled tonight here? undecided

I use the latest version of Firefox, in case it makes a difference

That's good to know Doreen. I too use Firefox always updated. Mine will just not allow it on this site tonight for some weird reason.. Making me crazy (ier) Grin

Wonder what would cause that.. ? It worked fine this afternoon.. I am gonna take another look around on my end.. Thanks again..

Doreen.. Can you go check yours tonight for me please? It only seems to be in the manage card area. It is way to slow and scroll-fully annoying this way..

Yes.. I am making up my own words to describe my issues with it not working.. Roll Eyes

My R-C works here in the forum to open a new window.. but not on the home page either..
So odd.. Hummmmmmmmmmm...

I just tried it again Lj and nope. It will not allow right click on anything on the Manage cards page. I had noticed yesterday, that I could not R-C on the links at the top of the screen, but if I was at my Admin Page and R-C on one of the drop down menus, such as Manage Cards it did work. I was find with that.

Tonight however it will not do that. Now, I have not, nor do I have time at the moment, to reboot and see if that makes a difference...in a Windoze World ya just never know Grin

Thanks so much for checking.. At least I now know it is not something on my end. I kinda thought that already anyway. Doubt it's a reboot fix since it is happening to more than one of us at the same time.. I see there is an array of strange behavior for myself and others in various places tonight posted.. so.. perhaps Shaun will see this and assist.. I hope..

We made a change yesterday that disables the right click on the whole site. As you know we used to do that on certain pages to discourage others from stealing our artist images.

We can enable the right click on any of the pages that are beneficial to you. Are there certain pages where you need this functionality? Or is it too broad of a functionality that you need for most of the GCU site?

Sorry for all the inconvenience. We'll have it all sorted out by end of day.

That one is very helpful. It is extremely nice to be able to "Open in a new window" here. Really adds much speed for me. Thanks

Hi Nasser,

I think that even shopper's benefit from right click when they wish to see a store or card but not lose the page they are on.

I think the only place right click should not be allowed is on the image previews. No one can do anything with a thumbnail image.

Like Lj, between working on my own cards/store and grabbing cards to sell on other sites, I too use the right click feature nearly everywhere.

Right click is only disabled for pages that show the medium and large views. Please report if you see anything out of ordinary. Sorry for all the trouble!
