Approval time
Feb 7th, 2011, 8:45pm

How long should it take to get a card approved? I submitted 6 Valentine's Day cards last Monday and they have not yet been approved. I've never waited this long to have a card approved before. At this rate it's almost too late to expect any sales.

Sorry, couldn't resist...review times have been about 2-weeks since last fall.

I think the review time is sporadic at best. I seem to get a lot of cards back for one reason or another that takes them even longer to get through. I have something like 13 cards in for review. My suggestion is to start getting those Easter cards in now along with graduation and weddings, and at the same time 4th of July. That should keep us all busy for months to come! Ahhh the joys of the retail world!  Grin

I had to take a break from GCU due to health issues last May.  Back then the wait for approval was a few days, that I could deal with.  The wait time now is completely ridiculous.  I don't understand why something can't be done about this?  For a few minutes this morning I have actually considered taking my store & art down.  Not sure what I will end up doing.  Its a shame, truly is, makes me angry but mostly sad.  I wish something could be done.

You were going to take your store down because of a wait for approvals? Amazing. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face!  Shocked

I don't know....I did the same as one site. If things become stressful when they shouldn't be or you aren't travelling at the speed or professional integrity you desire in your business model, it may be the right choice. I took great issue with time and one company's approach to their business that I finally threw my hands up and left. Surely I would not want to worry if their lackadaisical attitude would expand to my paycheck arriving. Thankfully, though the time thing niggles at me here, I use this as a set it and forget it site mostly. Personal tolerance may vary.

Very slow and after that you don't get paid for 3 months. Not impressed.Thinking of junking the whole site after waiting over 2 weeks for approval.  Zazzle much better.

although I think the wait time is annoying, I am learning to let it be.  It is frustrating, but I don't think it worth just closing up and leaving... although if this does turn into extended wait times for payment for cards sold, then I would agree it not good business.
