I think your talking about fonts for the card front...  I like 1001freefonts.com  If you spend the $20 to download all of them at one time you will also be able to download the font manager so you can temporarily install the fonts as you need them.

Hi Robin,

Just be sure if you download them one at a time that the one's you choose are free for 'commercial' use. Some are, some are not.

Pamela gives EXCELLENT advice.

Take the time to check each one for permitted usage.  Sometimes the zip file you download will have a text doc in it that is the license and that will differ from what was stated on the site, so read that before installing the font.

If you put time aside and do a thorough job of finding truly commercial fonts, it is time well spent and you have hand-selected ones that fit your style.  This is basically a one-time effort for you unless at some point you need a very special font for something.

Good luck!

I've found DaFont.com to have some  great ones.
Word of caution - If you do download 1000s of fonts (and I recommend being somewhat more selective) DO NOT try to open every single one of them at the same time. You can lock up your computer and even do damage. This is true on Mac & PC.
I strongly suggest using some sort of font management program. I use a font manager called Linotype Font Explorer. You can set it up to only open the fonts you preselect, or open only the fonts that you are using in a document. However, it allows you to to browse the fonts you haven't opened yet and it allows you to make up categories. For instance: "Handwritten," "Fancy Script," "Funky," "Western," "Serif," etc. I believe it's free. Just do a Google search for it.

I found the prospect of 1000's of fonts quite scary Grin so I am a one at a time that looks fun font shopper!

Thanks for the tips on handling fonts Susan, I still think I shall stay minimalistic Smiley

I would love to see more Font choices for the inner verse of the cards.   The inside can be a wonderful selling aid in many cases not only from the words written but also from their presentation imho.    but.. that's not what this thread is about.. Ooppss. Sorry~   lips sealed

It's not...but a valid point.

I have literally 1000s of fonts in my possession (I am the Font Queen) and when choose one for the outside, I like to try to make it match on the inside.
When I print cards, I design and choose inside and outside fonts to match.
It would be nice to have a few more to choose from without it becoming too overwhelming.

As a fontaholic myself, I recommend going to a software outlet store and buying font CDs. For less than $5.00 you can add over 100 fonts to your collection. You might get some duplicates of what you have already, but that is a gamble worth to take.  These outlet stores are often independently owned not a big chain and they are often clearance items.  The one huge advantage is that you know that all the licensing is legal and you don't have to guess about it. Save your receipt for proof of purchase in good faith if there is any future questions about licensing.

Oh and I just found this for you....1500 fonts for 1.99! Geeks.com
