Observations...
Dec 7th, 2010, 8:35am

Hi GCU
I`m not complaining but I have noticed a couple of things that should be changed if possible please.
For the featured cards it says you can have up to 25 cards, but it won`t allow more than 15.
Also, I have checked in my store management area that I am NOT interested in accepting custom card requests, I don`t have the time to waste on something that never gets an order anyway. Yet when looking at my store to see how it looks to shoppers I notice the little paint pallette is still there, so they can ask me for custom cards!
Lastly, I understand approval time is getting longer and haven`t complained about that, but perhaps it would be best to give a more realistic timeframe than 7 days, when we all know it`s now at least 3 times that at the moment.
Other than that thanks for your hard work in keeping GCU going, it`s still fab!
Karen

I looked at that thread, thanks for sharing, a bit long winded to do all that though!

Hi Karen,
Checked your store, clicked on one of your cards and clicked on palette icon.
The message reads:
"this artist does not presently accept custom card requests.
you can still send them a message below."

Thanks Barbara
I would be better if the icon wasn`t there as people might still try to ask for custom cards despite that message, but at least it has that there.
I appreciate your input and help

Oooo forum gremlins again  Grin

It's probably a programming nightmare to remove that icon from showing on some cards and show on others.

As far as the Featured Cards go.  At least the first time you use this modified feature, you need to remove all your featured cards and start over.  What works for me (accepting 25) is to paste or type the card number in the box provided rather than to find the card in my Manage Store view and click the box.  Less time consuming that way too.  This type of thing often happens with upgrades to existing features.  HTML gets tangled and its always best to start from scratch.

If you want them to actually order the cards, there's only one way to do it: have them pay for customization. That way they're invested. Up front via PayPal works for me.
