Old Cards Have Verse In Black
Oct 28th, 2010, 10:55am

Hello All,

Someone suggested we go back and update/improve our old cards. (I think it was Sue). Thank you for suggesting this.

Most of my older cards show verse fonts in black. I'm sure I had them either in gray or colors.A long time ago I went back to change something on a card and found verse in black, but thought it was just an isolated incident. I think this happened after GCU changed printers the time prior to the last change. It maybe a good idea to spot check some of your old cards for color control.

Blessings~
Audrey

Thanks for the heads up..but I for one am not going to re review a couple of thousand cards...I do think it is gcu's responsibility to up date cards when THEY up date...and that includes category additions.  That is my 2 cents worth.
L
PS love it here, like it here and all CGU has to offer, but come on, be reasonable...updating is at least a 3 step process for artists at a pretty darn low profit margin on our end...how about a little kick back here?

I really don't wish to come across as grrrrrrrrrrrrrr as I appear here, but golly, GCU, enough is enough.  Quality cards by quality artists..not office drones.  Sorry, harsh I know...frustrated period!!!!!

I see no real answer here.  GCU can't afford to have their Reviewers go back and review 'old' cards; we already have folks squawking that our new cards sit too long before being approved.  And for those of us with purely thousands of cards... well no way can we afford the time to go back through them.
The best I have come up with is, every time I see an order for an older card (and I admit it is more often than is convenient) I go back and check it out.  If I feel it needs editing, I do it and HOPE that it is done in time to go out from the printer's house with the corrections made.   Roll Eyes
This is a sticky mess that only gets stickier every time GCU changes printers... However, it does seem that every time they do change, we get a better printer.
I guess we just need the Shoemaker's Elves... Wink
