I hope I am asking this in the right place ( sorry I had already posted this....then thought I should do it here instead
My cards have always went thru fine as long as I chose two appropriate categories for the one card.....( If it was a card that I could honestly fit into a 2nd category that is )
Now....I am getting cards returned to me for editing.......with the following message .......
"Please Note: One card cannot serve both categories"
Choose ONE that best serves this card, then resubmit.
May I ask ....WHAT THE HECK THE 2ND CATEGORY CHOICE IS THERE FOR THEN?????
Since WHEN DID THIS RULE CHANGE????
Another example given to me by a past reviewer was....for instance....
a card for " Sister-In-Law"...... If there was no category for "Sister-In-Law", Then I would always choose "Other" ...... The reviewer told me since there was not a category choice for "Sister-In-Law" It was appropriate to place in "Sister" as this will give your card more exposure! That wasn't MY THINKING.....That was advice TO ME from the reviewer!
and.....I never got them sent back either....(If that happened to be the case anyway)
I am CONFUSED..... now I am told ONE CARD IN ONE CATEGORY ONLY!
Is this an issue anyone else has had? and WHICH IS IT???
SORRY FOR GETTING A LITTLE UPSET..
Cindy
Cards can be in 2 categories as long as the are specific to both of those categories. In general the 1st category should be used for the occasion and the 2nd for the subject matter in Collections. It is rare that a card is specific to two different occasions (ie: Thank You and Get Well, Christmas and Miss You).
This advice is alarming.... You are correct if the relation does not have a subcategory it goes in Other not Sister in this example for Sister in Law.
" a card for " Sister-In-Law"...... If there was no category for "Sister-In-Law", Then I would always choose "Other" ...... If you still have the email notification with that advice please let me know product id# that card is so we can research and address with the reviewer who handled.
We always try for consistency...it is a challenge. Rules have not changed although we do create new guidelines as they arise and we typically update the wiki page and post on the forum.
