How to avoid a double forum post
Mar 21st, 2010, 6:41am

The FORUM is purchased software.  It has a BUG that when any of us starts a new thread, it doesn't appear to "complete."  One way to avoid this is do everything normally but after hitting "Post" and seeing nothing happen, simply click either the:

1. "Forum" link on the top of the page
2.  The "Forum Home" link above the forum
3.  The  blue "GCU Forum" link just above the thread Subject/Title

This will cause the thread to start even though you won't see a "New post" indicator on the base Forum page, however if you go into the topic area, such as Artist Chatter, you'll see the new thread is there.

Yes, I discovered that for myself too...I just hit "post" ONCE. Open a new page in the forum and see if it has gone through.

It never used to be like that, it just used to post and take you to the next page but something changed.
