Have you made a FlipEcard sale?
Feb 26th, 2010, 1:11am

Well, I just had one come through.  Here's what the sale email notification looks like.  Smiley

I also noticed the sale shows up in the Store Report like a normal paper card sale.  I'll suggest to GCU that they identify these FilpEcard sales separately somehow.  Would you like them combined or not?

Yes I had one for my Yoga card.
I don't mind having them put together.
Sales are sales after all

Im not on here much so was confused when I got a FLipEcard sale yesterday, happy, but didn't know what it was.  Then I woke up this morning and that person bought 60 of those same cards, so guess it is a neat way for them to share a card with others maybe before purchasing it??  Not sure but kind of cool.  The notification of both sales made me happy, not sure if it needs to be any different for FLip cards, we all get super happy just getting the notification that someone bought something..  Wink

Haven't made one yet, but I am doing my best to get the word out on Facebook and in other places! I'm hoping it will be like GCU always has, a little slow at first, but them catching on like wildfire!

I would think it would be okay to show the sales combined.  But..... Tom ..... your like the master of GCU numbers......... is there a reason you might like them shown separately?
And also, I'm nosey, do you stay awake all night? Roll Eyes

Since we are only paid 30 cents each, I'd like to keep them separate somehow.  And, yes, nosey, - I work through the night.  Sleeping is just no fun.

Congratulations to all of you who had made a E-card sale

Way to go!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe you have a point Tom. The separation of accounts would give you a perspective of where your sales go.

I think as long as it states where the sale came from I'm okay with that.  I do have a question though.  How do we see this feature on Facebook and how do I share it on my Facebook page?  I am a member of the GCU FB page and looked this morning but didn't see anything.

Congrats to those of you who have made sales already!!  WHOOHOOO!

Hi Doreen

Once you're on that GCU page click on "go to app." button, from memory it's on right hand side. That's how I get there...don't know if there is another way.

Congrats & suggestion noted!   Smiley

To date (a whopping 4 days & counting..) we're seeing FlipEcard sales 4x that of paper card sales.  This is likely indicative of many factors with the most significant being that the Facebook environment by nature is / responds to:
o virtual minded vs traditional retail (conditioned to virtual gifting)
o instant gratification (NOW, last minute solution)
o more attractive to non-US users (more than 50% of our audience)
o less expensive (makes it more of a no brainer)

We believe FlipEcards will be an entree and self-advertising for the paper cards as opposed to cannibalizing possible paper card sales.

Thanks Cheryl!  I was on the old GCU page so once I found their new page the Go to App button was very noticeable!
