First custom photo card request
Jan 25th, 2010, 11:57am

Hi All,

Well, I got my first photo card request. The customer sent a nice big image so it looks like it will work out just fine.

I was a little nervous about photo cards. My customer is in sweden and it is a valentine's card. I will fast track it, but I hope it will still get there in time.

We'll see. How has it gone for others with photo card requests?

Hi Lisa,
My photo cards and other customized cards have gone very smoothly.

HOWEVER, now you DON'T have to "fast track" it anymore. You can get it even faster than that by clicking the "Private Gallery" button and then clicking the "Waive Review" button. This way the card will go straight to your Private Gallery and you can e-mail the customer when you see the card there (which is withing a couple minutes for me.)

Hope it all works out for you . . nice cards, by the way,
elizabeth

Oh man, I did not know that. I thought that the "waive review' was just for our own personal cards.  Hmmmm. I hope it goes through quickly with the fast track. Perhaps I should just redo the 'create a card' process and do the "waive review" option.

What do you think?

Yes, I would do that. You can re-create the card and then delete the original card. Be sure to tell the customer where to find it.

This "Waive Review" is a fairly new option and sure comes in handy with customers.

Happy Sales,
elizabeth

Thanks Elizabeth. I redid the card and it is in my gallery now.

I sent my customer a link to it, so all should be well.

Thanks for giving me the heads up.

Have a great day.

To clarify, Waive Review can be used for any card intended for the private gallery, but should be used very sparingly. Just a wee bit of extra advice -

When using Waive Review, check your card once, twice, three times for errors of punctuation, grammar, etc, then check it again. Artists may be financially responsible if a customer orders the card then returns it due to mistakes.
