GCU Forum - NO HTML for my Widget???

Nathalie_139787 GCU Newbies artist Posts: 3	NO HTML for my Widget??? Jan 20^th, 2010, 9:04am I need help. I created my widget and now I'm ready to put it on my website but when I click on Get HTML its blank there is nothing there. So I decided to wait a couple of days thinking it might be some type of technical issue. But today it's still not showing up. I don't understand. Please someone help. Thanks

Hi Nathalie,

It's not you...the widgets have been malfunctioning for awhile now and this post has the latest update from admin. Hopefully your post today will get some more attention since this is a frustrating issue. It makes our blogs and websites look bad to have a big hole where the widget should be working.

Unfortunately it requires a large amount of coding to get it up and running again. We're hoping to have the vertical flash widget back online tomorrow and the smaller flash widget should follow soon after. Shaun

The vertical flash widget was put back up today. Please note that if you are using Internet Explorer and make changes to the flash widget the changes may not show up right away (the programmers are working to correct this)

Also please note that if you were using the flash widget on your web site in the past you will need to update the code to begin using the widget again. You can visit the Card Widget page and click the Get HTML tab to obtain the code.

Hi Shaun,

Don't know if this is part of what is still being worked on, but here is my experience tonight with the widget and I'm accessing it through Firefox...

When logged in as a Card Seller (not with my Artist email) there is only one widget to choose from and there are 2 issues with it, first the HTML code still is not showing and

2nd...when I entered a category which was >>Holiday>>Valentine's Day>>General a message came up that there were no cards in that category.

I'll check the widget out for my own store and see if it with your changes. The changes may not have affected the Card Seller's Widgets?

Sorry about the NEWBIE post...hahaha...I was logged in with my Card Seller ID

There are now two types of Flash widgets to choose from, and the Javascript widget. If you had a flash widget on your blog or website before the error, you will need to obtain the new html code from within your account and replace the old code on your site or blog!
